I do invest way more time in the initial design and build of these sites than I expect to be compensated for initially. I’ve always focused on long-term customer satisfaction and I see this as a way to offer an easy way to get started for organizations that I’d like to work with that may not have a lot of money to throw at a web development project. I designed this website for a local community group that originally operated through Facebook Groups and Discord. They wanted to expand their reach by creating a website so people who aren’t on social media could easily find them and view their event calendar.

The menu has links to the sections on the single page. This creates the feel of a website with multiple pages and makes it easier for site visitors to navigate directly to the information they need.
Hero Section
A hero section in website lingo is the first section of the website designed to make a strong first impression and quickly communicate the site's purpose. Often features a compelling headline, a large image or video and a main call-to-action for the site.

An About Section that includes information and details about the organization
